Traditional and loyal to the teachings o f Morihiro Saito Shihan
Texas Niwa Aiki Shuren Dojo is a space to practice the Japanese martial art of Iwama-style Aikido. Iwama Aikido is named for Iwama, Ibaraki in which the founder of Aikido, Morihei Ueshiba trained and lived for the latter part of his life. During his time in Iwama, O'Sensei (honorific for Morihei Ueshiba) accepted a young student, Morihiro Saito. Saito Sensei would remain a student of O'Sensei for the remainder of O'Sensei's life and would be considered by many to be the heir to the techniques of O'Sensei. Saito Sensei organized the techniques of O'Sensei in order to preserve and share them with the world.
